METCOR/LSI is seeking a highly engaging Training Specialist to support the delivery of professional skills development curriculum ranging from customer service to technical skills. This position is full-time, based in the Salt Lake City, Utah area and requires both onsite and virtual capabilities.

What You Bring to The Table:

  • 2+ years of Call Center experience
  • 2+ years of virtual training experience
  • 5+ years of classroom training experience
  • 2+ years over-the-shoulder support experience
  • 2+ years of training content development experience
  • Demonstrates empathy, kindness, and patience in customer service engagements and in the classroom
  • Tech savvy and able to learn new software applications and processes quickly
  • Demonstrates a high level of customer service
  • Takes ownership in making learning engaging and fun
  • Multitasks with relative ease
  • Energetic and projects confidence in both in-person and virtual classroom settings

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Is a Veteran or has a family member or a close friend who is a Veteran
  • Interested in being part of a long-term training team
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Instructional Design, Training and Development, Education, Leadership, Organizational Psychology, or English preferred

The Training Specialist role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Facilitating a 10-day New Hire training, monthly or bimonthly, either virtual or in-person (due to COVID-19, all deliveries are currently virtual)
  • Delivering refresher or competency-based development training on a variety of topics for existing staff (contractors and employees)
  • Supporting over-the-shoulder training or office hours support
  • Updating existing training materials and developing new supporting materials as needed
  • Reporting (activities, evaluation results, attendance, etc.)
  • Gathering and providing feedback
  • Other duties as assigned
